April 4, 2020 @ 9:00AM — 1:00PM
This year we will go beyond the symbolic walk along one of the most active prostitution “tracks” in Los Angeles County (which we will still be taking), and expand the event to include community partners, other service providers, artists, and others who can assist us in amplifying the voices of the clients that we serve, while educating our community members. We will also bring back the 5k challenge, for those who are willing to do more to raise awareness/funding.
We are asking you to come out and support, not only Journey Out, but our clients and other survivors of sex trafficking; who need to see that the community stands with them and supports them, on there difficult journey out of the life of abuse and exploitation.
WHO WE SERVE: What seperate Journey out from other organizations that work to mitigate human trafficking, is the fact that we take a global view of the problem, and do not limit our service to a specific population. We provide services to all victims of commercial sex trafficking regardless of gender, race/ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, or documented status.
We will walk for Freedom
We will walk to raise awareness
We will walk to end exploitation
We will Walk to prevent another from falling victim to sex trafficking
